Shree Gautam Rolls is a well known Name in Indefinite Chilled Rolls Manufacturers in India. The surface of these Rolls have Chill with various alloys and are cast iron based. The matrix structure is pearlitic or bainitic depending on the alloys and its percentage. High alloy content gives uniform carbide distribution and fine deposits of graphite on the microstructure. Desired hardness of these Rolls can be obtained by controlling the chemical composition and using different casting method according to the application.
D.P.I.C rolls are made of a high alloy iron shell a soft grey iron or ductile iron core metal. These rolls are used in finishing stands of rod mills and for flat rolling. The shell material consisting of predominantly Bainitic or Martensitic matrix with free carbides with small quantities of tiny flake graphite have excellent wear resistance coupled with resistance to fire cracking. These rolls are available in the hardness range of 70 to 85 Shore C.
S.G. Iron (Nodular) or Ductile Iron Rolls are available in a wide range of hardness & composition for a variety of application. The matrix structure varies from Ferrito-Pearlitic, Pearlitic to Bainitic & Martensitic together with different carbide contents and graphite in the form of spheroids/nodules. Some critical grades are heat treated for higher strength. Chemical composition and structure are chosen to suit specific application.

Alloy Cast Steel Rolls are obtained through a process of statically cast iron process. The rolls are classified as hypo-eutectoid steel rolls, which have been alloyed with Molybdenum and Chromium. The rolls are made to undergo heat treatment process involving double annealing. The process is followed tempering of the roll involving thermal shock resistance and toughness testing.
